RHELGAN · International Development & Humanitarian Infrastructure · Power & Energy Systems

Project-configured generator and backup-power systems for communities, clinics, schools, utilities and remote infrastructure.

RHELGAN Power & Energy Systems provides an international project pathway for diesel generation, silent backup power, mobile and containerised generators, ATS, parallel systems and generator support for solar + battery projects. The range is intended primarily for development, remote, island and infrastructure programmes outside New Zealand, with frequency, voltage, phase, engine, alternator, controls, fuel capacity and environmental package selected against the destination and project load.

Quick project answers

Define the programme before selecting the product.

01

Is there one fixed generator specification for every country?

No. Frequency, voltage, phase and final electrical configuration are selected against the destination grid standard and project requirements.

02

Can the range use internationally supported engine and alternator brands?

Yes. Project configurations can use established international engine and alternator options where required, with the final component schedule confirmed in the quotation and technical submittal.

03

Can the generators support solar and battery projects?

Yes. Generator backup can be configured as part of a wider solar + battery power architecture, subject to the project controls, communications, operating philosophy and appointed electrical engineering.

04

Are tropical, island and coastal projects supported?

Yes. High-ambient, weatherproof and enhanced-corrosion options can be specified for suitable projects. The exact cooling, enclosure, coating and protection package is confirmed for the destination and exposure conditions.

RHELGAN Power & Energy Systems

Start with a standard power class. Configure it for the destination.

Five reference generator classes create a repeatable starting family for international projects. Ratings shown here are planning references from current 50 Hz Perkins configurations; the final engine, alternator, voltage, frequency, controls, enclosure, fuel system and environmental package are confirmed for each project.

System configurations

Build beyond the generator set.

Choose the enclosure, mobility, transfer, redundancy and hybrid-control architecture around how the site actually operates.

Project sizing comes first.Connected load, motor starting, duty, outage duration, climate, altitude, fuel logistics and local electrical standards determine the final system.
Fuel autonomy is configurable.Standard base-tank arrangements can be extended for remote or longer-duration operation where the project requires it.

Application pathways

Start from the service that cannot stop.

Application pages connect the generator range to the load, duty, redundancy and operating realities of health, education, WASH, community, recovery and remote-field projects.

Project priorities

What matters before procurement.

01

Size from the actual load

Connected load, motor starting, duty cycle, diversity, future growth and critical-load priorities should control generator selection rather than a nominal community size.

02

Confirm the local electrical standard

Destination frequency, voltage, phase, earthing, protection and connection requirements are fixed before production.

03

Engineer for climate + exposure

Ambient temperature, altitude, humidity, dust, salt exposure, rainfall and enclosure location can change cooling, filtration and corrosion-protection requirements.

04

Plan fuel + autonomy

Standard runtime can be extended with larger or external tanks where logistics, outage duration or remote operation require it.

05

Define controls + resilience

ATS, remote monitoring, synchronisation, redundancy and hybrid controls should match the consequences of a power failure and the skills available locally.

06

Plan maintenance from day one

Service access, consumables, spare-parts kits, manuals and internationally supportable components matter especially in remote programmes.

How Apollo fits

Move from programme need to a defined international supply package.

Apollo NZ Global is a commercial international project supplier, not an aid agency or charity. Final project standards, donor requirements, safeguarding, local law, professional engineering, public-health requirements, installation and statutory approvals remain with the responsible project organisations and appointed professionals.

01

Define the programme need

Confirm destination, users, quantities, programme phase, funding / procurement context, required outcomes and known local requirements.

02

Build the technical brief

Set room schedules or product scope, performance criteria, climate and hazard inputs, services, accessibility, documentation and intended factory-completion level.

03

Match qualified supply pathways

Select suitable manufacturers or product systems based on evidence, capacity, repeatability, logistics and the exact application rather than catalogue breadth alone.

04

Separate local works

Assign foundations, civil works, utilities, local engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, approvals and long-term operations.

05

Plan freight, phasing + handover

Coordinate production batches, packing, freight, receiving, storage, installation sequence, spare parts, manuals and final project records.
