ATS & Automatic Backup Power
Automatic mains-failure and transfer-control pathways for clinics, communications, water systems, community buildings and other essential services.
System pathway
Backup power only works if the transfer logic works.
Automatic backup systems coordinate mains sensing, generator start, stabilisation, load transfer and return-to-mains sequencing. The generator controller, ATS rating, switching arrangement and protection are selected from the actual electrical system rather than treated as an accessory added at the end.
Technical framework
Configure the system around the project.
- Generator controller
- Deep Sea DSE7320 available for AMF / auto-start applications
- Remote communications
- Modbus / remote-monitoring pathways available by selected controller
- ATS
- Automatic transfer switchgear available across project sizes
- Operation
- Automatic mains-failure start, transfer and return sequence configured to project requirements
- Phase / voltage
- Selected to the destination and connected electrical system
- Testing
- Factory load-test and project FAT pathway available; final transfer testing coordinated at commissioning stage
Typical applications
Where this pathway fits.
Water + wastewater plants
Schools + community facilities
Telecommunications + critical services
Specification controls
Keep the final design tied to the actual site.
ATS current rating must match the actual switchboard and load.
Neutral switching and earthing arrangements are project-specific.
Life-safety and healthcare installations may have additional local requirements.
Remote monitoring does not replace site inspection and planned maintenance.
Final ATS and AMF design must be coordinated with the destination electrical standard, site switchboard, earthing system, protection study and commissioning plan.
