DORVARN · Solar & Off-Grid Access

Solar-powered automation for gates and selected access systems beyond practical mains power.

DORVARN Solar & Off-Grid Access uses a dedicated solar-control pathway for compatible battery-operated automation, suited to rural entrances, remote compounds and other access points where running mains power is impractical.

Project priorities

Off-grid access starts with an energy budget.

01

Daily operating cycles

Gate mass, motor demand, cycle frequency, accessories and standby loads determine the energy requirement.

02

Solar exposure

Panel orientation, shading, seasonal solar resource and local weather directly affect autonomy and recovery.

03

Battery reserve

Battery capacity must support expected operation through low-solar periods without damaging deep discharge.

How Apollo fits

Size the power system around the automation duty.

The current kit reference uses one solar panel, a dedicated solar controller and two 12 V 14 Ah batteries, with published battery capacity support up to 28 Ah. Real autonomy depends on motor, cycle count, accessories, climate and panel exposure.

01

Define automation + cycles

Confirm the gate/barrier operator, accessories and daily operating profile.

02

Check solar + battery pathway

Review panel position, battery capacity, discharge protection and expected reserve.

03

Commission + monitor

Validate charging, low-voltage behaviour, manual release and service access after installation.

Relevant Apollo systems

Products can be selected individually or combined around the project.
