Critical plant resilience

High-wind support, tie-down and screening pathways for rooftop HVAC and exposed equipment.

Rooftop condensers, plant and service equipment can become a major post-storm failure point. Apollo's pathway coordinates engineered support frames, tie-downs, equipment screens, service clearances and roof attachment with the actual wind region and equipment configuration.

Protection system · direct answers

What project teams need to know about Rooftop Equipment & HVAC Protection.

Use this page for early system selection; final performance follows the exact tested, listed or engineered configuration and the actual project.
01

What is Rooftop Equipment & HVAC Protection?

Rooftop condensers, plant and service equipment can become a major post-storm failure point. Apollo's pathway coordinates engineered support frames, tie-downs, equipment screens, service clearances and roof attachment with the actual wind region and equipment configuration.

02

What project information should Apollo receive first?

Send the project location, building type, drawings or clear photographs, relevant dimensions and structural information, and any known wind, design-pressure, impact, flood, shelter, access or local-code requirements that apply to this system.

03

Can this system be specified from website information alone?

No. Site hazard, dimensions, loads, support and anchorage, exact product configuration, installation method, applicable technical evidence and local approvals can all change the final specification.

04

Does Apollo install this protection system?

Apollo is supply-only. Final engineering, fixings, installation, approvals and local code compliance remain with the appropriate manufacturer, approved specialist or client-side project team unless expressly included in the written scope.

05

Can Apollo review this system for international projects?

Yes, where the product and project can be supported. Destination hazard, climate, freight, documentation, local engineering, certification and installation responsibilities are reviewed before supply.

01Project guidance

Protecting the façade is not enough if essential plant is lost.

Cooling, refrigeration, pumps, communications and other rooftop systems can affect whether a building can function after a storm. Their support and restraint should be included in the resilience schedule.

02Project guidance

Support frames and attachments need engineering.

Equipment mass, footprint, centre of gravity, roof height, wind pressures, frame geometry, fasteners and supporting structure all influence the required system. Generic strapping is not a substitute for an engineered attachment pathway.

03Project guidance

Mechanical screening can add another wind-loaded system.

Screens and louvres around plant need their own structural, debris, airflow and fixing review. A screen should not compromise condenser airflow or service access.

04Project guidance

Corrosion and maintenance matter in coastal markets.

Frames, fasteners, coatings, dissimilar metals and roof penetrations require material and maintenance choices appropriate to salt, humidity and long-term rooftop exposure.

Project-specific performance

Performance follows the exact system and project.

Opening size, positive and negative design pressures, impact requirements, tracks or frames, anchors and structural substrate all affect final performance. Numerical wind, impact and certification information is matched to the applicable tested or engineered configuration for the project.
