Opening area changes total load.
As width and height increase, demands on shutter profiles, guide tracks, glass, frames, motors and anchors can increase substantially. A small-opening result should not be assumed to apply indefinitely as size grows.

Wide sliders, balconies, shopfronts, restaurants, hotel entrances and garages can create much greater system loads and more complex operational requirements than conventional windows.

Accordion shutters are strong where side stacking suits a wide horizontal span. Roll-down systems are strong where overhead housing, vertical deployment and motorisation fit the building.
Suitable impact sliding doors or storefront systems can provide permanent protection where a tested or engineered configuration exists for the required size and project pressures.
Do not assume the same impact standard or test scope used for windows automatically applies to exterior garage or rolling doors.

Opening size, positive and negative design pressures, impact requirements, tracks or frames, anchors and structural substrate all affect final performance. Apollo ties numerical wind, impact and certification claims to the applicable tested or engineered configuration rather than applying one blanket rating to an entire product family.
