Lightweight removable protection

Deployable hurricane fabric for selected windows, doors and larger openings.

Hurricane fabric provides a lightweight removable alternative where permanent rigid shutters are not preferred. The protective membrane, reinforced edges, connectors, anchors and structural substrate must be treated as one complete system.

01Project guidance

A different approach to external protection.

Instead of a rigid aluminium curtain, high-strength flexible protection is secured across the vulnerable opening using a purpose-designed attachment system. The membrane can be removed and stored after the severe-weather threat passes.

02Project guidance

Low weight can be valuable for island logistics.

Reduced component weight and compact storage can make fabric attractive for selected remote and island projects, provided deployment, storage and technical requirements are properly managed.

03Project guidance

Deployment planning is part of the product decision.

Every removable panel needs to be identified, stored and physically installed before the storm. Resorts and multi-building properties should map panels to building, room and opening IDs and test the process before storm season.

04Project guidance

Exact fabric, anchor and span claims remain configuration-specific.

Apollo will not publish universal fabric weight, anchor spacing, stand-off distance or maximum span without the applicable supplier/test documentation for the exact system.

Technical claim control

Performance follows the exact system and project.

Hurricane fabric remains an approved Apollo product pathway, but specific fabric construction, anchor spacing, maximum protected size, impact classification and cyclic-pressure claims stay on HOLD until current configuration-specific technical evidence is available.
