SYSTEM 04 / Weather interface

Dock Shelters & Dock Seals

Coordinate the truck-to-building junction to help manage rain, wind, dust and temperature exchange. Mechanical curtain shelters, inflatable shelters and compressible seals are not interchangeable.

Applications

Where this system fits.

General goods dispatchCold chain and chilled warehousesVariable truck fleetsLoading bays exposed to wind or driving rain

01 / Selection inputs

What needs to be understood first.

  • Truck body height, width and rear-door operation
  • Vehicle positioning and dock approach geometry
  • Required thermal, weather and dust separation
  • Fabric wear, compression limits and repair access

02 / Indicative supply scope

What the package may include.

  • Shelter/seal assembly and mounting structure
  • Head and side curtain or inflatable elements as selected
  • Controls and interlocks for powered systems
  • Dock bumper and door interface review

03 / Documentation to request

Evidence before commitment.

  • Envelope dimensions and mounting schedule
  • Material and fabric construction
  • Operating and replacement-part instructions
  • Pressure, fire or thermal evidence where claimed

04 / Local project interfaces

Responsibilities to coordinate.

  • Door and leveller sequence
  • Wall panel fixing and weather flashings
  • Civil dock position and truck parking tolerance

Project supply, not a certified standard kit. Project exposure and the real vehicle fleet govern seal selection. Manufacturer capabilities, maximum sizes, duty ratings, test certificates, drawings and warranties must be verified for the selected equipment before any binding performance claim or order.
