SYSTEM 06 / Temperature management

Cold Chain & Insulated Access

A planning pathway for chilled, refrigerated and freezer facilities where door timing, dock seals, leveller location and thermal separation are considered together.

Applications

Where this system fits.

Food and cold-chain distributionChilled loading baysFreezer storage and staging areasTemperature-controlled logistics

01 / Selection inputs

What needs to be understood first.

  • Operating temperatures and temperature differential
  • Condensation, frosting and drainage risk
  • Door heat loss, sealing and operating cycles
  • Hygiene and emergency egress obligations

02 / Indicative supply scope

What the package may include.

  • Insulated door configuration for technical review
  • Appropriate seal/shelter and dock interface
  • Control and safety integration concepts
  • Temperature-control options subject to verified supplier support

03 / Documentation to request

Evidence before commitment.

  • Insulation and door construction datasheets
  • Tested thermal and temperature rating where applicable
  • Suitable safety, heater and controls diagrams
  • Cold-environment maintenance instructions

04 / Local project interfaces

Responsibilities to coordinate.

  • Refrigeration engineer and insulation contractor
  • Vapour barrier, threshold and floor heating where required
  • Cold-chain hygiene/food-safety operational requirements

Project supply, not a certified standard kit. No temperature rating or thermal value is assumed without manufacturer evidence. Manufacturer capabilities, maximum sizes, duty ratings, test certificates, drawings and warranties must be verified for the selected equipment before any binding performance claim or order.
