A new trade agreement. The same need for precise procurement.
The New Zealand–India Free Trade Agreement entered into force on 20 October 2026. It creates new trade opportunities—but tariff benefits depend on the actual goods and their origin.

International wholesale and project supply · No local installation service impliedThe project approach
Start with the actual scope.
Apollo NZ Global supplies internationally sourced architectural, sports, civic and building systems. An item procured through a New Zealand company is not automatically New Zealand-origin. Preferential tariffs require the particular goods to meet the agreement's rules of origin and any applicable documentary requirements.

Check where the goods originate
The manufacturing location, relevant processing and product-specific origin rules matter; the seller's address alone does not establish origin.
Explore 02 / 02 / Tariff classificationIdentify the exact product
Confirm the classification and current rate with the importer or customs adviser; the FTA does not eliminate every duty or charge.
Explore 03 / 03 / Project suitabilitySeparate customs from engineering
An FTA preference does not establish Indian building, electrical, sport or safety compliance. Review requirements for the exact product and site.

Identify importer of record, documentary route, freight handover, local contractor and after-sales support before ordering.

Verified trade framework
Official sources & eligibility.
The agreement is in force from 20 October 2026. It offers preferential tariffs to eligible goods, not automatically to all products sold by a New Zealand business. A China-origin product resold by Apollo generally does not become New Zealand-origin merely by transiting New Zealand. Importers should confirm origin qualification, tariff treatment and documentation for their exact goods with their customs adviser. Local GST, import taxes, duties outside the preference and destination regulations may still apply.
This material is general procurement guidance, not customs or legal advice. Tariff eligibility and technical compliance must be verified for each shipment.

Supply-only scope. Apollo reviews and supplies the confirmed products and available manufacturer documents. Local engineering, foundations, installation, electrical work, customs clearance and statutory approvals are handled by appointed local parties unless a separately confirmed written scope states otherwise.
