APOLLO COMMUNITY KNOWLEDGE / EDITORIAL GOVERNANCE

Useful knowledge.
Earned trust.

Our principles for providing free learning resources responsibly. Public benefit matters more than sounding like an official agency, selling a product or claiming achievements we cannot demonstrate.

PUBLIC EDUCATION PRINCIPLES

Eight commitments that govern the division.

These describe the standards the learning programme should follow. They are not proof of external accreditation, charitable status or partnership.

01

Education first

Community Knowledge is an open learning initiative published by Apollo NZ Global. Access to the resources is free and does not require purchasing equipment, requesting a quotation or providing an email address. The division does not provide grants or funded projects.

02

Respect local leadership

In Pacific communities, customary rights holders, local leadership, authorised public agencies and affected people determine lawful action. Lessons and worksheets cannot create marine reserves, access restrictions or environmental permissions.

03

Public safety and qualified advice

Heat exposure, building design, environmental interventions, drinking-water safety and other specialised matters require applicable local policies, authorities and qualified practitioners. Shade does not guarantee outdoor heat safety.

04

Sources and corrections

Learning material should identify its independent references, distinguish observation from evidence and be reviewed when source guidance materially changes. Suspected errors should be corrected rather than left in place. External source links do not imply endorsement or partnership.

05

Honest representations

Concept diagrams and simulated learning scenarios must not be described as real commissioned installations or documented project results. Outcomes such as reef recovery, safer schools or lower temperatures must not be claimed without credible evidence.

06

Privacy and access

Interactive learning notes and Pathfinder responses are prepared on the user's device and are not submitted to Apollo through those forms. No account is needed. Standard website operations and consent-based analytics, where enabled, are separate from worksheet content.

07

Fair participation

Educational materials should be usable for different ages and abilities, and be sensitive to language and local context. Country-specific rules or translations should be checked before publishing; avoid assuming every Pacific island or GCC country has the same requirements.

08

Commercial separation

Apollo is a supply-only wholesaler. Community Knowledge is not an installation service, environmental NGO, government programme or accredited training provider. Educational pathways remain independent of commercial enquiries and product pages.

Learning should lead to better local decisions.

Start with a lesson, check an official source, involve the right people and document what you do not yet know. A digital guide is useful only when it is clear about its limits.
