Strength flooring · lifting platforms · high-impact zones

Impact flooring for weightlifting, heavy free weights and concentrated strength zones.

Heavy lifting creates a different flooring problem from cardio or general gym traffic. Apollo can structure thicker rubber, platform zones and acoustic build-ups around expected drops, rack positions, bumper plates, floor construction and neighbouring spaces, without forcing the whole gym onto the same high-impact specification.

Technical overview

Start with the load path and the building

01Primary role
Impact + slab protectionFlooring should be selected around the actual lifting programme and expected drop behaviour.
02Surface pathway
Thicker rubber tiles / matsRepresentative Enlio commercial rubber-tile pathways extend through 15–50 mm, subject to exact model selection.
03Platform zones
Integrated or dedicatedLifting platforms can be coordinated with surrounding rubber so edges and finished levels remain deliberate.
04Building interface
Structure + acoustic reviewUpper floors, sensitive neighbours and lightweight structures may need separate engineering or acoustic review beyond the surface product itself.

Floor covering alone cannot guarantee a structural or acoustic outcome. Building structure, slab condition, equipment, drop height and surrounding occupancies may require specialist review.

Project fit

Concentrate the heavier build-up where the impact actually occurs.

Olympic lifting

Platforms and adjacent impact rubber can define deliberate drop zones while keeping the wider gym floor efficient.

Dumbbell areas

Higher-impact flooring around benches and dumbbell racks can help manage concentrated wear, sound and slab protection.

Rack zones

Coordinate rack anchors, platform edges and tile joints before installation so the floor and equipment layout do not conflict.

Acoustic planning

Surface rubber can reduce impact and vibration, but sensitive buildings may need a broader acoustic system or structural solution.
