Community / education
Single/community court with durable frame, glass, turf and lighting.
Start Project Brief
GLOBAL SPORTS TECHNICAL LIBRARY
COURT · PADEL TECHNICAL CENTRE
Padel is a structural court system, not simply a fenced playing surface. Glass, steel, mesh, turf, lighting, foundations, wind, clear height and court-bank circulation all need coordinated design.

INTERACTIVE FACILITY MAP
Select a layer to see why it matters. This is a conceptual coordination map—not a dimensioned court, field, structural or compliance drawing.
FACILITY LEVEL MATRIX
Do not copy elite-event requirements into every community project—or under-specify a competition venue from a school checklist.
Single/community court with durable frame, glass, turf and lighting.
Club court bank with circulation, viewing, shade and repeat maintenance.
Competition-oriented venue with controlled FIP geometry, lighting, player/event operations and spectator zones.
Destination/major club with panoramic courts, covered play, hospitality, digital systems and professional operations.
12 TECHNICAL TOPICS
Each topic is part of the same facility. Changing one layer can affect several others, which is why product selection should follow the complete brief.
Protect the 10 × 20 m court geometry, enclosure, entrances, external play zones where relevant, circulation and multi-court spacing.
Padel-specific turf needs correct pile/infill, seams, base/drainage and maintenance; turf choice affects ball response and player movement.
Net/posts and enclosure components need exact geometry, glass quality, mesh and safe interfaces.
Integrated or external lighting must control glare through glass and provide consistent play across the full enclosure.
Panoramic courts support strong viewing but circulation, seating, accessible routes and hospitality must stay clear of entrances/external play.
Steel frame, tempered glass, anchors/foundations, lighting columns, wind/seismic criteria and roof/cover interfaces require project engineering.
Heat, UV, wind, rain, salt and thermal movement affect glass, coatings, turf and foundations. Covered facilities need ventilation/condensation planning.
Provide accessible venue circulation and viewing while maintaining court entrances and safe glass/enclosure zones.
Turf maintenance tools, nets, spare glass/hardware, furniture and event systems require operational storage.
Booking/access, cameras, scoring, FÍSVOR, PA and digital signage can support commercial clubs.
Use current FIP Rules of Padel and competition documents for court/tournament requirements; exact structure/glass/lighting evidence remains project-specific.
Inspect glass, fixings, steel coating, anchors, mesh, turf/infill, lighting, net and drainage; maintain a spare-component strategy.
EVIDENCE LADDER
Defines the sport or competition requirement. It does not automatically approve a supplier or construction detail.
Applies to an exact surface, equipment item or system configuration and the scope stated by the governing programme.
Where the sport offers it, field/court/facility testing confirms the finished installation rather than only the product.
Foundations, supports, wind/seismic loads, electrical, building interfaces and local-code compliance remain project-specific.
Warranty, documentation, spares, freight, installation responsibility and exact quoted configuration are closed before order.

PERFORMANCE-SPECIFICATION STARTERS
These are performance-based starting points, not a substitute for the project architect, engineer, governing body or exact selected-system data.
Protect the 10 × 20 m court geometry, enclosure, entrances, external play zones where relevant, circulation and multi-court spacing.
Padel-specific turf needs correct pile/infill, seams, base/drainage and maintenance; turf choice affects ball response and player movement.
Use current FIP Rules of Padel and competition documents for court/tournament requirements; exact structure/glass/lighting evidence remains project-specific.
Inspect glass, fixings, steel coating, anchors, mesh, turf/infill, lighting, net and drainage; maintain a spare-component strategy.
DRAWING ROADMAP
Public planning diagrams can define intent. Exact fabrication, foundation, fixing and model drawings should follow only when the selected system is verified.
TECHNICAL DIAGRAM PACK
Four vector sheets cover plan geometry, vertical coordination, equipment/operations and spectator/technology interfaces. Verified sport dimensions are shown only where the technical baseline supports them; conceptual allowances remain explicitly labelled.
These diagrams organise coordination information. They are not fabrication drawings, engineering drawings, construction details, certified court/field layouts or statutory documentation. Current governing-body requirements, exact selected-system drawings and local professional design take precedence.
MAINTENANCE & LIFECYCLE
01Glass cleaning/inspection

05Turf grooming/infill
06Net

09Spare glass/hardware
TROUBLESHOOTING
Inspect fixings, pads, frame tolerance and structural movement.
Review seam, infill distribution and grooming.
Review ventilation, humidity and surface temperature.
Review fixture aiming/position and glass sightlines.
Review coating damage, salt exposure, drainage and fasteners.
Review court-bank circulation and external play requirements.
SPORTS PLANNING CALCULATORS
These are concept-planning tools—not engineering, certification, accessibility or photometric calculators. Every input is visible and editable so assumptions stay explicit.
10 × 20 m full court with editable 2 m external coordination allowance.
This is area arithmetic only. Roll widths, tile modules, seams, line systems, perimeter details and manufacturer-specific waste factors can change the final order quantity.
Not a code or sightline calculation. Final rows, aisles, vomitories, accessible positions, guards, rake and egress must be developed by the project team.
01Confirm the sport and exact competition level.
02Define the playing area plus spectator, camera and officials zones.
03Coordinate luminaire locations with structure, roof services, poles and maintenance access.
04Control glare for players, officials and spectators.
05Confirm local electrical, emergency-lighting and spill-light requirements.
06Define training, match and reduced-energy operating modes where controls support them.
NEXT STEP
The structural enclosure, foundations, glass, lighting and external-play zones control the real site footprint. Multi-court clubs require additional circulation and hospitality space.
