Weathered-steel runoff and continuous water exposure need to be considered alongside paving, pool finishes, walls, drainage and planting.

Water features work best when services and drainage are planned before the surrounding hardscape is complete. Confirm power, make-up water, overflow, maintenance access, splash zones, adjacent finishes and how the feature will be viewed from the main spaces around it.
