Community / education
Community recreation facility with beginner progression, supervision strategy and durable surfaces.
Start Project Brief
GLOBAL SPORTS TECHNICAL LIBRARY
SPECIALIST · SKATE & BMX TECHNICAL CENTRE
Wheeled-recreation facilities need flow, progression, fall zones, drainage, rider separation and inspection to work together. Pump tracks, skatepark street/park systems and BMX racing/freestyle are different disciplines and should not be collapsed into one generic ramp layout.

INTERACTIVE FACILITY MAP
Select a layer to see why it matters. This is a conceptual coordination map—not a dimensioned court, field, structural or compliance drawing.
FACILITY LEVEL MATRIX
Do not copy elite-event requirements into every community project—or under-specify a competition venue from a school checklist.
Community recreation facility with beginner progression, supervision strategy and durable surfaces.
Club / skills venue with progression zones, lighting, storage and repeat programme use.
Competition-capable discipline-specific venue using current World Skate/UCI requirements.
Major event / destination riding venue with spectators, timing/display, media and professional operations.
12 TECHNICAL TOPICS
Each topic is part of the same facility. Changing one layer can affect several others, which is why product selection should follow the complete brief.
Separate pump-track loops, skate street/park zones, BMX race/freestyle or other riding disciplines before fixing geometry; each has different flow and safety requirements.
Surface continuity, grip, drainage, transitions and impact durability are fundamental to rider control and maintenance.
Modules, features, rails, coping, start gates or discipline-specific equipment need exact product/competition evidence where applicable.
Avoid glare and deep shadows on transitions, landings, rails and route changes; event/video use adds vertical-lighting needs.
Separate riding lines and fall/runout zones from viewing, waiting and circulation.
Modules, ramps, start structures, lighting and spectator elements require foundation/anchoring and structural review.
Rain, frost, heat, UV, leaves/debris and drainage materially change riding safety and maintenance.
Inclusive public-realm access, viewing and beginner/adaptive programming should be considered at facility level.
Maintenance tools, modular spares, event/timing equipment and mobile features need secure storage and service access.
Timing, lap/ride data, cameras, FÍSVOR, PA and access systems can support competitions and commercial venues.
World Skate facility certification distinguishes recreational and competition skatepark classes; UCI publishes separate 2026 BMX Racing and Freestyle regulations.
Inspect riding surfaces, joins, modules, rails/coping, drainage, lighting, signage and spectator barriers; close unsafe features until repaired.
EVIDENCE LADDER
Defines the sport or competition requirement. It does not automatically approve a supplier or construction detail.
Applies to an exact surface, equipment item or system configuration and the scope stated by the governing programme.
Where the sport offers it, field/court/facility testing confirms the finished installation rather than only the product.
Foundations, supports, wind/seismic loads, electrical, building interfaces and local-code compliance remain project-specific.
Warranty, documentation, spares, freight, installation responsibility and exact quoted configuration are closed before order.
SPECIFICATION INPUTS
These inputs can become a consultant brief, RFP schedule or Apollo project review without prematurely inventing an exact model.

PERFORMANCE-SPECIFICATION STARTERS
These are performance-based starting points, not a substitute for the project architect, engineer, governing body or exact selected-system data.

DRAWING ROADMAP
Public planning diagrams can define intent. Exact fabrication, foundation, fixing and model drawings should follow only when the selected system is verified.
TECHNICAL DIAGRAM PACK
Four vector sheets cover plan geometry, vertical coordination, equipment/operations and spectator/technology interfaces. Verified sport dimensions are shown only where the technical baseline supports them; conceptual allowances remain explicitly labelled.
These diagrams organise coordination information. They are not fabrication drawings, engineering drawings, construction details, certified court/field layouts or statutory documentation. Current governing-body requirements, exact selected-system drawings and local professional design take precedence.
MAINTENANCE & LIFECYCLE

TROUBLESHOOTING
Review drainage, low points and blocked outlets.
Inspect module alignment, deformation and geometry.
Remove contamination/debris and inspect finish.
Review route flow, entry/exit and mixed-skill zoning.
Close feature and inspect anchors/structure.
Improve barriers, circulation and event controls.
PRIMARY GOVERNING REFERENCES
We link to the governing organisation rather than republishing whole standards. Rules, manuals, approval lists and competition requirements change.
Official certification rules distinguish recreational and competition skatepark classes for indoor/outdoor facilities.
Open official sourceCurrent 2026 UCI regulations include separate BMX Racing and BMX Freestyle rules.
