Sports & Courts · Specific answer

Do Modular Sports Tiles Drain?

Many open modular court tiles are designed so water can pass through the playing layer. That is only one part of the drainage system—the base beneath still needs to move water away from the court.

Planning guidance — final supplied configuration remains project-specific.

01

Through-surface drainage

Open tile geometry can let rainfall move through the tile instead of remaining on top of the playing layer.

02

The base remains critical

If the slab below is flat in the wrong places or ponds, water can remain beneath the tiles. Base falls and outlets should therefore be reviewed before installation.

03

Drainage is site-specific

Local rainfall, court size, surrounding paving and outlet capacity can all affect the site drainage plan.
