Capacity Planner · Scenario V2

Test the charging duty against an entered site-power allowance.

This planning tool converts vehicle count, energy need, dwell time, simultaneous use, charger class and an entered charging-power allowance into a concept duty profile. It does not calculate network maximum demand, cable/protection sizes, transformer capacity or electrical compliance.

Operating + site assumptions

Use measured fleet/site data where possible.

What to verify next

Turn the scenario into an electrical and operating brief.

The project team should now close measured site capacity, vehicle compatibility, charger architecture, load management, backend, climate, payment/access and destination compliance.

01

Interval load data

Use actual site demand and available-capacity data rather than the entered planning allocation.

02

Vehicle compatibility

AC onboard limits, DC capability, connectors, duty cycle and future vehicle mix.

03

Managed charging

Define whether chargers share capacity dynamically and what priority/fairness rules apply.

04

Power quality + protection

Transformer/service, protection, earthing, isolation, harmonics and cable design remain local electrical work.

05

Climate + derating

Ambient heat, direct sun, dust, salt and enclosure thermal behaviour can reduce usable output.

06

Backend + resilience

OCPP, payment/access, network failure behaviour, reporting, remote support and redundancy.

Evidence before release

Check exact-model and destination evidence before turning planning into procurement.
