Apollo NZ GlobalStart Project Brief

LUTHVAR · FACILITY DECISION ENGINE

Start with the facility problem. Let the product pathway come later.

Select the sport, level, environment, climate, spectator scale and project priority. The engine returns a technical planning pathway from Apollo's controlled sport library rather than ranking products from a generic catalogue.

PROJECT CONDITIONS

Define what the facility has to do.

STARTING TECHNICAL PATHWAY

Basketball

Clubs · academies · universities · Indoor · Temperate

32 × 19 meditable concept planning envelope28 × 15 m playing court with 32 × 19 m minimum court-area reference used in the Apollo basketball technical centre.
01

Competition-style backstops, resilient sports floor, scoring, spectator and repeat changeover.

02

Check slab loads, anchors, wall reactions, roof / secondary steel, clear height, divider travel, lighting, ducts, sprinklers, scoreboards and rigging before equipment release.

03

Compare approved wood, glass and synthetic pathways by competition level. Resolve slab flatness, moisture, sprung-floor construction, dead spots, rolling loads, temporary-event protection and humidity control.

04

Choose mobile, floor-fixed, wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted backstops from the building interface first. Then match boards, rings, nets, padding and shot-clock support to the exact system.

05

Plan courtside seating, retractable banks, tiered sightlines, accessible viewing, circulation, team benches, scorer table and media positions together.

06

Show deployed and parked dimensions for backstops, portable floors, seating, divider curtains and event equipment. Door widths, thresholds and floor protection should be drawn, not assumed.

07

Document daily cleaning, floor inspection, recoating/refinishing, equipment lubrication, fastener checks, padding condition, spare components, seating inspection and control-system testing.

Climate / exposure emphasis

Use the local climate, rainfall, UV, wind and seasonal operating pattern to verify outdoor materials, drainage and maintenance.

No fake “best product” answer

The selector recommends a planning pathway, not a winner from incomplete project information.

Climate changes the brief

Heat, salt, dust, rain, wind and indoor environmental control affect materials, structures, electronics and maintenance differently.

Evidence follows the exact system

Approval or certification claims are checked after the project pathway and exact product/configuration are known.

CONTINUE

Use the decision engine to choose the right technical questions—not to skip them.

Take the output into the technical centre, diagrams, planning calculators, spec pack and tender builder before product release.
