3x3 basketball can work as a compact standalone court, a school or community half-court, or part of a larger event venue. Use current FIBA 3x3 rules as the sport reference, then confirm destination-specific engineering, accessibility, electrical, civil and approval requirements locally.
FIBA identifies an official 3x3 court at 15 m wide by 11 m long, with a 1.5 m boundary. A standard basketball court can also accommodate two 3x3 games. Treat those dimensions as the sport reference, not the complete site footprint.
Coordinate the basketball support, backboard, rim, free-throw area, arc, shot clock and scoreboard before foundations, electrical routes or surface markings are fixed.
FIBA 3x3 can be played on concrete, asphalt, existing or temporary courts provided playability and player safety are suitable. The project surface still needs to match the base, drainage, footwear, maintenance and destination climate.
Competition or community venues may need lighting, ball containment, team waiting, officials, spectators, score operation, cameras and event access outside the playing boundary.
FIBA rules control the sport format. Local structural design, foundations, electrical work, accessibility, installation and statutory approvals remain with the destination project team.
