FJARVIK · Fires of the North
FJARVIK reimagines the ancient gathering place for contemporary outdoor living — combining live flame, a broad circular cooking surface and sculptural steel into one remarkable centrepiece for food, conversation and long evenings outdoors.
Inspired by the landscapes and atmosphere of the north, FJARVIK is made for the moments when fire, food, people and place come together.

The story
Long before there were kitchens, dining rooms or terraces, there was fire.
People gathered around it for warmth. They cooked over it. They told stories beside it. They stayed a little longer because of it.
That simple idea sits at the heart of FJARVIK.
Inspired by the landscapes and atmosphere of the north — deep water, rock, timber, changing skies and long evenings around an open flame — FJARVIK reimagines live-fire cooking as something architectural, social and enduring.
This is not simply somewhere to cook.
It is somewhere to gather.

The cooking experience
At the centre is the fire. Around it, the substantial circular carbon-steel cooking plate creates a changing landscape of heat.
Food closer to the centre can experience more intense heat for searing and browning. Move outward and the temperature becomes progressively gentler, creating space for roasting, finishing and holding.
Steaks can sear while vegetables roast. Seafood can cook alongside bread. Breakfast, burgers, skewers and shared plates can all find their place around the fire.

FJARVIK Heat Landscape
The central fire establishes the coal bed and visual theatre. Work closer to the centre for stronger searing and browning, then move outward for gentler finishing, roasting and holding.

Elemental by design
FJARVIK is built around honest materials, purposeful geometry and the simple idea that cooking and gathering belong together.
A real central wood fire creates heat, atmosphere and visual theatre while the surrounding plate becomes the cooking surface.
Use position around the fire to move between stronger searing heat and gentler finishing or holding zones.
A substantial steel plate designed to hold heat and provide a broad working surface for varied cooking.
Architectural weathering steel gives FJARVIK its substantial form and distinctive material character.
The circular layout keeps cooking and conversation together rather than separating the cook from the group.
Five size pathways take FJARVIK from premium private outdoor spaces through to restaurants, resorts and destination hospitality.

Northern inspiration
FJARVIK draws its visual character from northern landscapes — water, mountains, rock, forest, timber and changing weather.
Not through ornament. Through restraint. Strong forms. Natural materials. Warm fire against cool air. Spaces designed around people rather than objects.
The result is a Nordic-inspired live-fire collection suited to contemporary homes, lodges, resorts, restaurants, hospitality terraces and destination outdoor spaces around the world.
Create the fire. Cook the food. Bring people together. The FJARVIK Ritual
The ritual is deliberately simple: establish the fire, bring the steel to life, cook around the flame, share the food and let the evening continue.
Start with dry, clean cooking firewood and allow the flame to establish naturally.
Give the circular cooking plate time to develop its working temperature and heat gradient.
Sear closer to the fire. Roast and finish farther out. Move ingredients as the food and fire evolve.
Cook in stages. Pass plates. Try different foods. Let dinner become part of the conversation.
When the cooking slows, the fire remains.
When dinner ends, keep the fire.
FJARVIK range
Choose the diameter around the number of people, amount of simultaneous food, circulation space and how prominent the cooking station should feel in the setting.
A smaller-format FJARVIK for private terraces, patios and family outdoor spaces where footprint matters but the full live-fire experience is still wanted.
A versatile residential size that increases cooking space and guest capacity without overwhelming a well-designed outdoor area.
A substantial live-fire centrepiece with the space to manage multiple ingredients, cooking zones and larger groups.
A high-impact format for environments where FJARVIK becomes part of the guest experience as well as the cooking operation.
The largest FJARVIK pathway — designed for projects where live-fire cooking becomes an architectural and experiential focal point.
All FJARVIK models use a 10 mm carbon-steel cooking plate and a 4 mm Corten-steel base pathway. Working height is approximately 1 metre depending on selected configuration. Final dimensions, finishes, accessories, freight, site conditions and current specifications are confirmed against the project quotation and final product documentation.

Hospitality · Resorts · Events
