CADARN · Technical Centre
Technical planning for the actual kitset being ordered.
Use this centre to coordinate CADARN sizing, structure, controls, drainage, exposure, enclosure and supply-only responsibilities before the project is frozen. Project-specific evidence should always be matched to the quoted configuration and destination.
Quick reference
Current CADARN planning data.
These figures are useful for first-stage coordination. Final structural, fixing, electrical and accessory requirements remain configuration and site dependent.Build sequence
Six decisions before manufacture.
Most avoidable project problems come from freezing the product before the support, water, power or enclosure interfaces are known.Footprint
Confirm width, projection and finished-height intent. CADARN stops at 6 × 4 m / 24 m².
Support
Identify slab, footing, deck, wall or existing frame conditions before manufacture.
Exposure
Record open, coastal, snow/cold or other demanding exposure conditions early.
Water
Nominate the site discharge route for water leaving the integrated roof drainage system.
Power
For motorised systems and LED lighting, confirm how electrical supply will reach the system.
Enclosure
Freeze screen, glass, louvre-wall or decorative-panel intent before final drilling and accessory coordination.
System coordination
What needs to be resolved by discipline.
Structure + foundations
Confirm supporting capacity, post positions, anchors, wall fixing zones, deck framing or existing-frame suitability. CADARN is supply-only; local structural design, foundations and approvals remain project responsibilities unless expressly included.
Drainage
Closed louvres direct roof water into integrated gutter and internal drainage pathways. The project still needs a practical discharge route, with the outlet-bearing columns and final connection identified before installation.
Electrical + controls
Motorised systems use electric roof operation with remote control, the current smart-control pathway and rain-sensor functionality. Integrated LED lighting also requires electrical connection even where the roof itself is manual.
Enclosure
Current CADARN pathways include retractable screens, decorative privacy panels, fixed aluminium louvre walls, adjustable open/close louvre walls and selected sliding-glass modules. Coordinate these before drilling or final manufacture.
Coastal + exposure
Powder-coated aluminium and stainless hardware support outdoor use. Coastal projects can be reviewed with a 316 stainless fixing upgrade, while freshwater cleaning and maintenance remain important in salt-exposed environments.
Delivery + assembly
Confirm destination, unloading, safe component movement and assembly access. The kitset pathway does not include on-site assembly, lifting equipment, local electrical connection or final drainage connection unless expressly stated.
Enclosure reference
Plan the outdoor room as one system.
Side systems share the beam and post zone with drainage, lighting and fixings, so accessory choices should be known before manufacture wherever possible.Current screen families use 30% polyester / 70% PVC fabric. Nominal opening compatibility depends on the selected screen family.
Current pathway uses 8 mm tempered glass in an aluminium sliding frame. Clear opening, track, floor level and drainage interface require project confirmation.
Fixed and open/angle/close side-louvre options are available for selected bay sizes, with final profile, panel layout and operating hardware confirmed per project.
Selected laser-cut aluminium panels can be integrated as architectural side screens or partial privacy elements rather than weather-sealed walls.
Accessory compatibility
Match the enclosure to the actual bay.
This matrix shows the currently documented nominal opening pathways. “Standard” means a current module/pathway is documented for that nominal opening. “Review” means Apollo must confirm the opening, post spacing, fixing and combination before manufacture.| CADARN accessory | 2.0 m | 3.0 m | 3.6 m | 4.0 m | Other | Current pathway note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Guided retractable screen | Review | Standard | Review | Standard | Review | Manual or motorised guided screen pathway is currently documented for nominal 3 m and 4 m bays. |
| Manual crank retractable screen | Review | Standard | Standard | Standard | Review | Current manual-crank pathway is documented for nominal 3.0 m, 3.6 m and 4.0 m openings. |
| Sliding glass wall | Review | Standard | Review | Standard | Review | Current supplied modules are approximately 2700 × 2375 mm and 3700 × 2375 mm for nominal 3 m and 4 m bays. |
| Fixed aluminium louvre wall | Review | Standard | Standard | Standard | Review | Current fixed-wall pathway is documented for nominal 3.0 m, 3.6 m and 4.0 m bays. |
| Adjustable open / close louvre wall | Review | Standard | Review | Standard | Review | Current adjustable full-wall pathway is documented for nominal 3.0 m and 4.0 m bays. |
| Decorative privacy / feature panels | Review | Review | Review | Review | Review | Pattern, panel count, post spacing, fixing points and adjacent accessories are confirmed project by project. |
Important: the overall CADARN pergola footprint is not automatically the same as an enclosure bay width. Final clear opening, posts, tracks, floor levels, drainage and adjacent accessories are confirmed against the actual ordered configuration.
Evidence before order
Match documents to the configuration — not just the product name.
Where a current factory document, calculation or project-specific detail is required, request the evidence applicable to the quoted CADARN configuration.CADARN kitset supply
