Transparent ETFE cushion roof within a steel architectural grid

PROJECT POSITIONING

Designed around the brief.

ZAHREQ ETFE is reserved for significant specialist architecture. Single-layer and cushion pathways can be developed where transparency, low structural weight and expressive roof geometry justify the additional coordination required.

APPLICATIONS

Where the system fits.

Major atriums and rooflightsTransport and terminal architecturePublic and cultural buildingsResort and destination structuresSpecialist stadium and venue zonesLarge transparent architectural envelopes

DESIGN BASIS

What needs to be resolved early.

Finished supporting-steel geometryOn-site measurement before final ETFE fabricationCushion air-supply and control system where applicableDrainage and condensation strategyFire and local authority requirementsAccess for inspection, maintenance and replacement

MATERIAL & EVIDENCE

Project-specific technical evidence.

The supplier has confirmed capability for both single-layer ETFE and ETFE cushion systems. Their recommended workflow requires finished steel geometry to be measured before ETFE fabrication, so ZAHREQ does not position ETFE as a small off-the-shelf structure.

SUPPLY-ONLY PROJECT MODEL

Specialist manufacture with local project responsibility.

Apollo NZ Global supplies ZAHREQ as a project-specific manufactured system. Local authority approvals, foundations, civil works, local engineer certification and installation remain project-specific responsibilities unless expressly included in the written scope.
