Geometry
Overall length, width, required clear span, roof form, height, support positions and architectural intent.
TECHNICAL CENTRE
Large-span structures are not selected from one span number or one generic loading table. The structural pathway is established from the project geometry, governing criteria, environmental exposure, operational loads and local engineering requirements.
DESIGN BASIS
The inputs below form the starting technical brief. Not every project needs every criterion, but none should be assumed without review.
Overall length, width, required clear span, roof form, height, support positions and architectural intent.
Self-weight, roof build-up, live load, maintenance load and project-specific suspended equipment.
Site wind criteria, exposure, pressure coefficients, uplift, local cladding loads and stability system.
Project seismic basis, structural mass, support conditions, connection behaviour and local engineering review.
Snow where applicable plus rainfall, ponding, drainage capacity and roof geometry.
Scoreboards, lighting, AV, sports equipment, catwalks, services, solar and other project-specific loads.
ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE
Large structural systems can be exposed to dramatically different environments. Protective strategy is set around location, internal conditions, maintenance access and intended life rather than copied from a previous project.
Salt deposition, wetting cycles, drainage, crevices and maintenance access affect material and coating strategy.
Pool halls add humidity, condensation and chlorides. Internal and external exposure may require different solutions.
Rainfall intensity, humidity, drainage, biological contamination and coating maintenance require explicit review.
Airborne contaminants, process emissions and cleaning regimes can materially change the protection system.
ENGINEERING DELIVERABLES
The exact project deliverables are confirmed in the supply scope. The target technical package can include the following where applicable and verified.
FABRICATION & QA
Specified structural materials, certificates and project schedules are matched to the fabrication package.
Welding, bolted connections, dimensions and protective finishes are inspected according to the agreed quality plan.
Member identification, packing sequence, container or alternative freight strategy and unloading logic are coordinated before shipment.
Installation sequencing, temporary stability and supervision scope are confirmed for the selected project rather than assumed.
EVIDENCE STATUS
This distinction keeps feasibility useful without turning historic project information into an unsupported promise for the next site.
Current qualification material includes completed large-span, stadium, church, dome and high-wind project examples. Project references are evidence of experience, not blanket certification for a new site.
The governing standard is selected for the destination and project brief. Historic references to AISC, Australian standards and other codes do not automatically confirm approval for every new jurisdiction.
Span depends on structural family, loading, geometry, supports and project conditions. ZABALERA does not publish one universal maximum-span promise.
Coastal, aquatic, tropical and industrial exposure require an agreed coating, galvanising or material strategy tied to the actual environment and maintenance plan.
PTFE, PVDF and ETFE capability is only represented when the exact project system, supplier scope and supporting evidence are confirmed.
Local structural sign-off, building consent, fire, foundations, services and authority approvals remain jurisdiction- and project-specific.
PROJECT RESPONSIBILITY
Apollo NZ Global operates as a wholesale and project-supply company. The agreed manufacturing and engineering package is coordinated with the project team, while local approvals, foundations, civil works, site erection, fire, services and statutory sign-off remain with appropriately qualified local parties unless expressly included in the verified project scope.
