Purpose

Designed to belong to the whole landscape.

SVALDR Path is a weathered-steel bollard-style lighting pathway for garden routes, terraces and hospitality landscapes. The fitting is intentionally quiet so the route, planting and surrounding architecture remain visually dominant.

SVALDR products are presented as part of a coordinated outdoor architecture system rather than isolated decorative objects. Material, scale, sightlines, services and neighbouring elements are considered together.

Weathered steel surface and folded edge detail

Weathered steel

A surface designed to change.

Weathered steel develops a changing oxide patina rather than remaining visually static. Colour, tone and texture vary with exposure, drainage and wet-dry cycling. Early weathering runoff can stain pale or porous adjacent surfaces, so detailing matters.

Technical planning

Confirm the project before manufacture.

These points are reviewed as part of product selection and quotation. Exact requirements depend on the product configuration, site and destination.

  • Voltage, driver and controls are verified for the exact selected fitting
  • Ingress-protection and environmental ratings are not assumed and must be confirmed
  • Plan cable routes before paving and planting are complete
  • Nearby water features may require additional electrical consideration
  • Coastal exposure and maintenance access are reviewed at specification stage
