The Shadowspec range
Choose by footprint, mast location, movement, commercial duty and the way people need to move through the space. Published sizes shown below are a planning guide; final current specifications are confirmed at quotation.
01A dual-canopy cantilever system with up to two canopies on one mast, eight set tilt positions and 360° rotation. SHADOWTILT™, SHADOWPITCH™, SHADOWREEL™ and SHADOWLOCK™ give the range a dedicated low-sun and directional-shade pathway.
02A single-canopy tilting cantilever with eight set tilt positions and 360° rotation. SHADOWTILT™, SHADOWPITCH™, SHADOWREEL™ and SHADOWLOCK™ are aimed at moving shade through changing sun angles without moving the furniture below.
03The large-format option for one mast serving multiple shade zones. The current P01/26 owner manual covers multi-canopy spacing, square and octagonal frame orientation, mounting choices, Shadowglide operation, integrated LED lighting and an optional rain-gutter pathway.
04A premium single-canopy cantilever system with 360° rotation and Shadowglide deployment. The current P01/26 owner manual covers free-standing, in-ground, surface-plate and wall-bracket mounting plus integrated LED-light power options.
05Designed for compact spaces where a ground-mounted mast is undesirable. The current owner manual shows an additional 460mm of extension; wall-mounted operation rotates up to 45°, while the post-mounted configuration is shown with 175° rotation. RETREAT also tilts, with gas-assisted deployment and an integrated roller system.
06A commercial centre-pole range with a heavy-duty double pulley, marine-grade anodised aluminium, stainless components and replaceable solution-dyed canopy fabric. Custom branding is also offered by Shadowspec.
07An offset system with four canopy positions from closed through two tilt settings to horizontal, plus ten indexed rotation positions around its 360° movement pathway. The manual also covers in-ground, surface-plate and free-standing mounting and the supplied protection cover.
08The heavy commercial pathway: a robust aluminium structure, 82.5mm mast, commercial strut profile and telescopic mast designed to clear most furniture while closing. Removable rain gutters can link adjoining square umbrellas.
Technology + finishes
Shadowspec uses different proprietary movement systems across its cantilever and wall-mounted ranges. Stock colours are model-specific; special-order fabric, lead time and availability are confirmed when Apollo prepares the project quotation.
Gas-assisted lift and fast opening/closing. Shadowspec publishes SHADOWGLIDE™ as an approximately five-second deployment pathway.
Locks the shade position while retaining a 360° rotation pathway. HARMONY and SANCTUARY publish 16 locking positions.
Integrated LED lighting in the central hub, with supported rechargeable smart-battery or hardwire pathways and app control.
Eight set tilt positions plus added forward pitch help move the canopy toward lower sun angles.

The right umbrella is not only about canopy size. Mast position, rotation, tilt, wall clearance, closing clearance and how furniture sits underneath all matter to the final selection.
Material + project fit
The brochures show a range built around durable aluminium and stainless-steel components, solution-dyed canopy fabrics and commercial-use pathways. Exact material grade, UPF rating, mounting hardware and warranty vary by model, so Apollo confirms the selected specification before supply.
Published canopy pathways range from UPF 50+ to UPF 80 depending on model, with washable or replaceable solution-dyed fabrics across the commercial ranges.
Rotation, tilt and extension can shift shade through the day without placing the mast where people need to walk, dine or gather.
Surface plates, in-ground anchors, free-standing bases and selected wall-mount pathways are available across the range. Substrate and fixing requirements must be confirmed for the project.
For cafes, resorts and restaurants, include table layout, closing clearance, wind exposure, adjoining canopies, branding intent and any rain-gutter requirement in the project brief.
Ownership + technical resources
These manufacturer documents support project planning and ownership. Site-specific structure, electrical work, local code and final fixing design remain the responsibility of the appropriate qualified trades and project team.
The current manual shows 460mm of additional extension. Wall-mounted RETREAT rotates up to 45°, while a post-mounted configuration is shown with 175° rotation.
The current owner manuals add dimension tables, multiple-umbrella spacing, mount orientation, Shadowglide operation, integrated LED-light guidance and model-specific accessory information.
The shared UM-110311 surface plate is 316 stainless steel, 320mm diameter and 12mm thick, while the UM-110044 free-standing base uses 12 × 400mm square concrete pavers for ballast and has adjustable feet plus optional lockable castors. Model-specific concrete and timber-deck fixing sheets are retained where the hardware detail differs.
SERENITY and UNITY can use the Shadowspec hardwire pathway or SS-1 Smart Controller. Version 003 supports button or app control, 100% / 50% brightness settings and pairing multiple umbrellas.
The P01/26 SERENITY and UNITY manuals publish 10-year fabric and 6-year frame warranties, with 3-year protection-cover warranty and 3-year fabric/frame terms for commercial applications. Final project warranty is confirmed at quotation.
The supplied SU2 and SU4 references cover canopy assembly, care and maintenance. SU4 adds four canopy positions, ten indexed rotation positions and in-ground, surface-plate and free-standing mounting pathways.
Electrical note: the New Zealand / Australia hardwire guide calls for certified electrical input and identifies equipotential-bonding requirements for installations near bodies of water. Use the manufacturer guide and applicable local electrical rules for the actual installation.
