Start Smart QuoteVelaris V7.3 / V8 · owner + service resource
A practical global guide to routine cleaning, coastal maintenance, correct daily operation, severe-weather preparation, post-weather inspection, troubleshooting and technical-support evidence.

This guide is written for global Velaris ownership. Site exposure, climate, salt, debris, operating frequency and the exact supplied configuration affect the maintenance plan. Project-specific product documentation takes precedence where supplied.
01 · Routine ownership
Remove loose debris, grit, leaves and insects. Use gentle cleaning methods and keep drainage points clear.
Avoid abrasive tools, harsh solvents and unnecessary contact. Stop if the fabric edge leaves the guide or tracking changes.
Salt and airborne residue require more frequent fresh-water rinsing and inspection in coastal and high-salt environments.
If the blind stops, binds, tracks unevenly or makes an unusual noise, stop and investigate rather than forcing movement.
02 · Severe weather
Velaris is a guided outdoor blind system, not a structural wall, security shutter or hurricane shutter. Before severe weather, fully retract the blind, clear loose objects from the surrounding area and follow any project-specific operating instructions. After severe weather, inspect the guides, cassette, fabric edges and bottom rail before normal use.
03 · Troubleshooting
Check power, isolator, remote or wall-control basics and visible obstructions. If the fault remains, contact the installer or Apollo support.
Clear the travel path and clean the guides. Repeated stopping needs installer assessment.
Stop operation and inspect guide cleanliness, alignment and fabric position. Do not force the blind.
Stop immediately. Do not continue cycling the blind to try to pull it back into position.
Check for debris and visible interference. Persistent grinding, rattling or resistance requires inspection.
04 · Technical support
Before requesting support, record the Velaris model where known, approximate opening dimensions, installation date, control type, site exposure and a clear description of the issue.
Provide clear photos of the whole blind, cassette, both side guides, bottom rail, issue detail and control/motor area where safely visible. A short video of the behaviour can also be useful.
05 · Approved guide
The approved guide includes premium illustrated plates for component anatomy, guide cleaning, coastal maintenance, correct and incorrect operation, pre-storm preparation, post-weather inspection, troubleshooting and the service-photo checklist, plus maintenance records and quick-reference pages.
