High-wind suitability cannot be reduced to one website wind-speed number. Site exposure, building geometry, dimensions, enclosure, supporting structure, fixings and the exact product configuration all affect the project pathway.

Wind is a project condition

The same product can face very different pressures on a sheltered ground-floor patio and an exposed coastal terrace. Project review should use the actual site and configuration rather than a generic speed shortcut.

Side enclosure changes behaviour

Adding blinds, glass or solid sides can change how wind pressure acts on the structure. Future enclosure should be declared before the roof or frame configuration is finalised.

Fixings and substrate are part of the system

Architectural blinds are not storm shutters

Velaris-style outdoor blinds manage shade, privacy and day-to-day weather exposure. They should not be represented as hurricane shutters or complete-building severe-storm protection systems.
