Outdoor Kitchen Appliances, Refrigeration & Storage Guide

The appliance list should follow the way the kitchen will be used. A BBQ, sink and refrigerator may be enough for one project; another may justify pizza, kamado, drinks, ice and additional storage—but every addition also changes services, heat, ventilation and maintenance.

Planning guidance — final supplied configuration remains project-specific.

01

Choose the core functions first

Start with the cooking appliance, preparation surface, washing requirement, cold storage and dry storage. Optional equipment should earn its place by solving a real use case.

02

Match refrigeration to outdoor use

Outdoor refrigeration should be selected for the actual location, ventilation requirement, electrical supply and exposure. Do not assume an indoor refrigerator is automatically suitable for an outdoor cabinet.

03

Treat pizza and kamado as heat sources

Pizza ovens and kamado-style cookers can create different heat, smoke and clearance conditions from a conventional BBQ. Their position should be reviewed with the pavilion, adjacent materials and local fire or appliance requirements.

04

Keep storage practical

Plan where utensils, cookware, cleaning items, serving ware and waste will live. Outdoor storage should support use without encouraging unsafe storage near heat sources or blocking service access.
