Fiji cargo gateways

Where can international shipments arrive?

Port of Suva

An international cargo gateway for suitable Fiji import shipments. Confirm the vessel service, terminal, clearance point and onward transport for the final site.

Port of Lautoka

Another main commercial gateway, potentially suitable for Western Division destinations including Nadi and Denarau, depending on the booked route.

Vanua Levu and outer islands

Plan onward sea or other freight, road access, transfer, lifting and secure storage. Long aluminium sections, pools and oversized structures need advance feasibility checks.

Suva and Lautoka are possible receiving ports, not guaranteed routes. Apollo confirms the port and handover location in each quotation.

Order to handover

How the supply and shipping process works.

01

Share your project brief

Tell Apollo the product, dimensions, quantities, final Fiji location and intended programme.

02

Confirm the quotation

Review selected products, available technical information, packaging details, Incoterm, named handover point, currency, freight and excluded charges.

03

Approve specifications

Agree the exact system, quantities, payment and manufacturing terms before production.

04

Manufacture and pack

Components are prepared and packed to the confirmed shipment scope; request package lengths, weights and handling instructions.

05

Ship internationally

Cargo moves via the agreed route and port or logistics handover point. Insurance is included only when quoted.

06

Clear Fiji customs

The importer and appointed customs agent address classification, permits, duty, VAT, clearance and any destination handling charges.

07

Receive and install locally

The Fiji team organises onward transport, unloading, foundations, installation, electrical works and approvals.

Landed-cost planning

What is included — and what is paid locally?

Freight price depends on packed dimensions, weight, consolidation, origin, shipping route and agreed handover. Shipping to a Fiji port is not the same as delivery to the installation site.

Fiji duty and import VAT

Importer unless explicitly included

Customs agent, clearance and destination fees

Appointed Fiji project team

Check the named Incoterm and place on every quotation. Do not assume Fiji duty, import VAT, customs agent fees, terminal charges or inland transportation are included.

Customs & tax

Fiji import duty, VAT and paperwork.

Duty depends on the current Fiji tariff, HS classification, origin and any applicable concessions. VAT treatment also depends on current Fiji law and product circumstances. Apollo does not publish one universal import-duty rate for its diverse catalogue or guarantee a tax outcome.

Commercial import documentation may include the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, import declaration, relevant permits and supporting certificates. The importer or licensed customs agent should verify the documents and charges before the shipment is committed.

For current requirements use the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service import procedure.

Packaging & border requirements

Protect the shipment and prepare it for receiving.

Ask for a package-by-package list of sizes and weights, coating and finish protection, motor and control identification, fragile-item crating, handling instructions and component identification. Wooden pallets or crates must meet applicable Fiji biosecurity and international wood-packaging requirements such as ISPM 15 where relevant; have the shipping agent confirm current obligations.

Destination planning

Fiji delivery is different for every site.

Suva

Customs release, urban access and unloading

Nadi / Denarau

Western Fiji freight routes and resort receiving

Lautoka

Cargo handling and local transport

Coral Coast

Road access and long or oversized loads

Savusavu / Vanua Levu

Receiving service and inter-island movement

Outer islands

Vessel size, lifts, secure storage and spare parts

Product shipping checks

Different systems need different freight plans.

CADARN & ARKEN pergolas

Confirm beams and post lengths, roof components, controls, crating and unloading. Site wind, anchors and foundations need local review.

Fiji supply questions

Frequently asked questions.

Does Apollo ship directly to Fiji?

Apollo can review shipping to an agreed Fiji port or freight handover point. Routes and responsibilities are confirmed in the individual quotation.

Is shipping included in the product price?

Only when the quotation expressly includes it. Check the Incoterm, named place, insurance and separate destination charges.

Can products go to Denarau, the Coral Coast or outer islands?

Onward transport can be reviewed, but is not automatically included with a port shipment. Confirm vessel availability, road access and unloading beforehand.

How much Fiji duty and VAT applies?

Rates depend on the current tariff, correct HS classification, origin, concessions and Fiji tax rules. Your customs agent should confirm actual amounts before ordering.

Do I need a customs agent?

Commercial importers should arrange an appropriately licensed Fiji customs agent and the necessary import paperwork.

Does Apollo install products in Fiji?

No. Apollo is supply-only. Local installation, engineering, approvals and site works remain with appointed Fiji professionals.

Can multiple products ship together?

Potentially, subject to manufacturer origins, timing, packaging compatibility, cargo dimensions and the agreed freight plan.

Before you order

Check Fiji technical suitability as well as freight.

For roof systems, outdoor blinds, pools, sports facilities and buildings, check structural wind design, coastal finishes, drainage and local approval responsibilities before confirming manufacture.
