Outdoor Display · Full-Sun Qualification

Brightness alone does not make an outdoor display suitable for full sun.

This tool checks whether the project has the evidence inputs needed to progress a Covered, Partial Sun or Full Sun display pathway. It does not approve a product or replace exact panel-temperature, thermal, enclosure and mounting evidence.

Project + evidence inputs

Classify the installation before using a full-sun claim.

Full-sun evidence ladder

Four things need to agree before the application class is credible.

Outdoor brightness is only one variable. The exact panel, thermal pathway, enclosure and project mounting condition must support the claimed environment.

01

Panel thermal limit

Verify panel operating/temperature limits and any direct-sun restrictions for the exact configuration.

02

Thermal architecture

Confirm fans, heat exchangers, air paths or other cooling logic plus failure/maintenance behaviour.

03

Environmental enclosure

Verify ingress, corrosion and external-environment evidence for the exact screen/enclosure pathway.

04

Mounting + ventilation

Wall, freestanding, dual-sided and enclosed installations can have very different heat rejection.

05

Brightness + content

Higher brightness can improve daylight visibility but also increases thermal/power burden and must suit the content/application.

06

Service access

Filters, fans, electronics and panels need maintainable access appropriate to the project environment.

Evidence before classification

Use Full Sun only when the exact product and project thermal design support it.
