LUTHVAR BADMINTON · TECHNICAL CENTRE

Choose the court equipment around visibility, airflow and court-bank operation—not in isolation.

One public technical workspace for posts, nets, umpire systems, training equipment, ATHREN roll-out floors, storage logistics and FÍSVOR. Lighting, visual backgrounds and airflow are treated as mandatory venue interfaces because they can materially affect badminton even when the court equipment itself is correct.

EQUIPMENT FAMILIES

Eight controlled Badminton pathways.

The centre keeps the actual equipment families separate from the environmental conditions that make them perform properly across a school hall, club centre or tournament venue.

Portable Professional Posts

High-frequency mobile pathway for schools, clubs and court banks where fast setup, stable bases and compact storage matter.

Stability + exact use-level evidence

Socketed / Fixed Posts

Permanent floor-interface pathway where post positions can be coordinated with the ATHREN or existing floor before installation.

Post + socket + floor interface

Nets + Post Accessories

Matched net package covering net body, top tape, tensioning and post connection rather than treating the net as a standalone item.

Exact system construction

Umpire + Officials Equipment

Umpire chairs and match-operation equipment coordinated outside the player clearance envelope and around scorer visibility.

Event suitability + clearances

Training + Junior Systems

Teaching and adjustable pathways selected around mixed ages, supervision, fast setup and shared-hall storage.

Use case + safe operation

ATHREN Roll-Out Court Floors

Event and tournament floor overlays coordinated with the base floor, deployment method, cleaning and protected roll storage.

Exact floor evidence

Court-Bank Storage + Transport

Racks, trolleys and storage bays sized to the actual number of courts, posts, nets, chairs and roll-out floors.

Project handling plan

FÍSVOR Scoring + Event Information

Court identification, scoring, match information, main displays and repeaters coordinated separately from physical court-equipment approvals.

Protocol + product evidence separate

TECHNICAL SELECTION MATRIX

Match the court equipment to the court bank, floor and tournament operating model first.

The matrix separates school, club, competition and arena pathways while keeping exact equipment approval and event-floor evidence tied to the systems that will actually be supplied.

EVIDENCE GATE

From court-bank planning to exact Badminton equipment release.

The exact product pathway is only released after the court bank, floor interface and playing environment have been matched to the intended use and event level.

01

Court bank + clearances

Freeze court count, spacing, player clearances, umpire positions, divider lines and spectator edges.

02

Floor + equipment interface

Confirm ATHREN / existing floor, portable bases or floor sockets, and any roll-out tournament surface pathway.

03

Visual + airflow environment

Close lighting sightlines, dark-background strategy, HVAC / door drafts and divider interactions before event specification.

04

Exact equipment evidence

Match posts, nets, umpire systems and any roll-out floor to the exact competition or tournament pathway.

05

Storage + event handover

Close trolleys, storage bays, setup routes, FÍSVOR, installation scope, testing and destination requirements.

ENVIRONMENT INTERFACES

Badminton equipment only performs properly inside a controlled visual and airflow environment.

These are venue interfaces rather than standalone product families, but they should be closed before competition equipment or tournament floors are released.

LIGHTING

Protect shuttle sightlines

Fixture position, glare control and court-bank uniformity matter as much as nominal light output. Avoid bright sources sitting directly in common shuttle sightlines.

BACKGROUND

Control visual contrast

Dark or controlled court-end backgrounds improve shuttle visibility. Bright openings, signage and light wall treatments should be reviewed around the playing direction.

AIRFLOW

Minimise disruptive drafts

HVAC outlets, fans, doors and cross-hall air movement should be coordinated so one court does not experience materially different shuttle flight from another.

COURT BANK

Store for the real court count

Posts, nets, umpire chairs and roll-out floors need protected movement routes and storage sized around the full bank—not one demonstration court.

QUOTE-RELEASE CHECKLIST

What Apollo needs before exact Badminton equipment is quoted.

Enough information is needed to avoid selecting equipment that fits the court but fails the floor, storage, visibility or tournament operating model.

01

Project use level and intended competition / tournament pathway

02

Court count and concurrent operating mode

03

Hall plan with court spacing, clearances, dividers and spectator edges

04

Existing or proposed floor build-up and roll-out floor requirement

05

Portable, socketed or recommendation-required post pathway

06

Umpire / officials equipment requirements

07

Lighting, background and airflow constraints already known

08

Post, net, chair and roll-floor storage / trolley requirements

09

FÍSVOR scoring / court-information requirements, destination and programme

Competition approval is not a family-level claim.

A professional post, net, umpire chair or roll-out floor is not automatically suitable for a named BWF event because another similar product is approved. Exact current evidence is checked against the system that will actually be supplied.

NEXT STEP

Move from the Technical Centre into the complete Badminton hall brief.

The technical matrix narrows the equipment family. The Hall Brief adds court bank, lighting, backgrounds, airflow, floor, dividers, spectators and storage so Apollo can move into exact controlled selection.
