Apollo NZ GlobalProject Brief

KNOTTR CIVIL INTERFACE

3x3 basketball court base and drainage planning.

The playing surface cannot correct a failed supporting base. Base flatness, water management, cracking and perimeter transitions should be known before the sports surface is released.

01<= 1%single-plane fall reference
02<= 5 mm / 3 mflatness reference
03Concrete / asphaltcommon hard-base paths
04Local civilproject-specific design

PLANNING REFERENCE

Resolve the project logic before selecting the exact products.

This page answers one narrow planning question. Use the Technical Centre and Project Brief for the complete 3x3 system.

01

Flatness and drainage are separate checks

A court can look flat and still pond. Survey local undulations and the overall drainage path rather than relying on visual inspection.

02

Modular surfaces still need civil quality

Perforated or open-grid systems allow water movement through the playing layer, but water still needs a stable base and a controlled route away from the court.

03

Repair before covering

Cracks, failed joints, local depressions and unsafe perimeter steps should be assessed before the final sports surface is installed.

PROJECT CHECK

Information worth confirming before the brief moves forward.

Identify base type and age

Survey flatness and low spots

Confirm drainage outlets / direction

Assess cracks and joints

Resolve edge transitions and local civil responsibility

CONTINUE THE KNOTTR PATHWAY

Move from search answer to controlled project planning.

The FIBA Venue Guide provides outdoor planning references; final slab/asphalt design remains project- and location-specific.

WHOLESALE & PROJECT SUPPLY

Turn the planning answer into a project-specific KNOTTR brief.

Apollo is supply-only. Final survey, civil works, foundations, electrical work, installation, statutory approvals and professional sign-off remain destination-project responsibilities unless expressly included.
