Can a Roof-Only System Fit an Existing Frame?

A roof-only pathway can be useful where a sound pergola or frame already exists. The existing structure should be treated as a technical interface, not assumed to be suitable because the opening dimensions fit.

Planning guidance — final supplied configuration remains project-specific.

01

Confirm the supporting frame

Check dimensions, squareness, member positions, material condition and whether the existing structure can support the final roof and operating loads.

02

Map drainage and services

Roof drainage, motor position, power and maintenance access still need to work with the existing frame.

03

Use local structural review

Apollo supplies the roof system and available product information. Suitability of the existing frame and fixings remains a project-specific responsibility.
