Pickup Canopy Payload & Storage Planning

A canopy does not replace the vehicle's payload limit. The completed vehicle system needs to be considered before accessories accumulate.

Planning guidance — final supplied configuration remains project-specific.

01

Start with the vehicle's real operating role

A weekday work truck and a dedicated touring pickup need different access and storage priorities. Preserve the layout that serves the vehicle's most common use.

02

Count every permanent addition

Canopy, rooftop equipment, racks, water, fridge, battery, drawers, tools and recovery equipment all contribute to the finished load.

03

Place gear around access and weight

Frequently used equipment should be easy to reach, heavier items should be placed sensibly and service components should not be buried behind fixed storage.
