Campers & Touring · Storage answer

Organising Overland Gear by Access Priority

Vehicle storage works best when it follows when an item is needed, not simply where an empty space exists.

Planning guidance — final supplied configuration remains project-specific.
Vehicle camping gear organised around a touring setup
01

Put daily-use items closest to hand

Water, basic cooking equipment, lighting and everyday personal items should be reachable without dismantling the camp or unloading the vehicle.

02

Separate road-critical from camp-only gear

Recovery, safety and roadside equipment should not be buried behind items only used after camp is established.

03

Keep heavy loads and service points sensible

Dense equipment should be placed with vehicle balance in mind, while hinges, racks, electrical connections and water fittings remain inspectable.
