RHELGAN · INSTALLATION & COMMISSIONING
Plan handover before the equipment reaches site.
Installation quality is controlled by released project information, prepared civil works, clear responsibility boundaries and documented commissioning. The aim is a working water system with traceable checks — not simply assembled equipment.
Commissioning sequence
Nine controlled stages from receiving to handover.
The exact inspection and test plan changes with the system. These stages provide the project structure, while the released manufacturer and engineering documents govern the selected configuration.
01 · Pre-installation review
Confirm released drawings, storage geometry, foundation readiness, lifting / access, services, pipe interfaces and the latest project documentation before equipment is opened or assembled.
02 · Receiving + inspection
Check packing lists, visible transit damage, panel / fitting identity, pump and treatment components, instruments, loose accessories and preservation requirements.
03 · Civil + support readiness
Verify foundations, slabs, plinths, support levels, drainage, anchors and maintenance access against the released project requirements.
04 · Mechanical assembly
Assemble storage, pipework, valves, pumps, treatment equipment and supports in the controlled sequence for the selected system.
05 · Electrical + controls
Complete power, protection, earthing, level controls, pump controls, alarms, sensors and communications to the destination requirements and released drawings.
06 · Cleaning + preparation
Clean tanks, pipework and wetted components as required by the project plan before water is introduced for commissioning.
07 · Functional commissioning
Prove filling, level controls, pumps, duty / standby changeover, pressure control, alarms, valves, overflow, drains and treatment operating sequences.
08 · Performance + water quality
Verify system flow / pressure and treatment outputs against the agreed project criteria using the appropriate test and sampling plan.
09 · Training + handover
Transfer manuals, drawings, settings, spare parts, maintenance schedules, test records, operator training and outstanding actions to the responsible project team.
Hold points
Do not let critical checks disappear inside the programme.
Hold points are agreed project controls. They make it clear when work can proceed and which records should exist before the next stage.
Foundation / support acceptance before tank assembly
Record the acceptance, responsible party, supporting evidence and any open corrective action before release.
Tank assembly inspection before filling
Record the acceptance, responsible party, supporting evidence and any open corrective action before release.
Pipe pressure / leak checks before concealment or handover
Record the acceptance, responsible party, supporting evidence and any open corrective action before release.
Electrical protection and control checks before live operation
Record the acceptance, responsible party, supporting evidence and any open corrective action before release.
Treatment process verification before drinking-water release where applicable
Record the acceptance, responsible party, supporting evidence and any open corrective action before release.
Final document, spares and operator-training handover
Record the acceptance, responsible party, supporting evidence and any open corrective action before release.
Responsibility boundaries
Assign the interfaces before site work starts.
