RHELGAN · TECHNICAL EVIDENCE & DOCUMENTATION
Match every technical claim to the document that actually supports it.
Water-system procurement becomes much stronger when material approvals, drawings, calculations, pump data, treatment information, manuals and warranties are tied to the exact configured system rather than treated as generic reference evidence.
Evidence guide
Know what each document proves — and what it does not.
This is especially important for drinking-water contact, structural ratings, treatment performance and pumps, where a broad marketing statement can hide a much narrower tested or certified scope.
| Evidence type | What it can support | What it does not automatically establish |
|---|---|---|
| Product datasheet / schedule | Dimensions, material, components, rating and configuration stated for the identified equipment. | Does not automatically prove suitability for another size, water chemistry, site or destination. |
| Potable-water certificate / approval | The exact material or product scope, issuing body, conditions and validity period shown in the certificate. | Does not cover omitted seals, fittings, coatings, liners or configurations outside the listed scope. |
| Independent test report | Measured results for the tested specimen, material, method and conditions. | Does not automatically extend to untested materials, sizes or completed systems. |
| Structural calculation | The geometry, loads, materials, supports and design assumptions stated in that calculation package. | Does not transfer to another site, foundation, wind / seismic criterion or tank geometry without review. |
| Pump curve + motor data | Flow / head performance, efficiency and motor information for the identified pump configuration. | Does not establish the project duty point until system head and flow requirements are known. |
| Treatment datasheet / process schedule | Design flow, process stages, component details and stated performance basis for the selected treatment package. | Does not prove finished-water quality for a different source-water analysis or operating condition. |
| Installation / O&M manual | Documented assembly, operation, maintenance and service procedure for identified equipment. | Does not replace site engineering, local trade competence, statutory approvals or project-specific drawings. |
| Warranty | Covered components, duration, exclusions and required maintenance for the identified supply. | Does not extend beyond the written warranty terms or replace local project obligations. |
| Project drawing / P&ID | Geometry, connections, equipment identity and process / control relationships for the project. | Does not itself prove certification or performance unless supported by the relevant evidence set. |
| Commissioning record | The tests, settings, results, operator handover and outstanding actions recorded at startup. | Does not remove the need for ongoing water-quality control, maintenance or destination compliance. |
Technical submittal
Build one controlled document pack for the project.
The exact list depends on scope, but each major system should have enough information for project review, receiving, installation, commissioning and later maintenance.
Storage
General arrangement · panel / material schedule · fittings · access · foundation / support information · potable-contact evidence where applicable · structural calculations where required
Treatment
Source-water basis · process flow · equipment schedule · design flow · consumables · cleaning / backwash / reject requirements · finished-water criteria
Pumps
Pump curves · motor data · duty point · materials · controls · protection · VFD / pressure-set details where applicable
Electrical + controls
Single-line / connection information · voltage / frequency / phase · control narrative · alarms · sensors · remote monitoring interfaces
Installation
Assembly manuals · project drawings · lifting / handling · testing sequence · commissioning plan · local-work interfaces
Handover
Final settings · commissioning results · manuals · spares · warranty · training records · maintenance schedule · as-built / final released drawings where included
Evidence-control questions
Five checks before a claim moves into a proposal or project schedule.
Is the exact product identified?
Model, material, configuration, size and relevant components should match the evidence.
Is the document current?
Check issue date, validity / expiry where applicable and whether the manufacturer / production scope still matches.
Does the scope include all wetted components?
For drinking-water claims, panels, liners, seals, coatings, fittings and other contact materials may matter.
Does the project match the test / calculation conditions?
Loads, water depth, geometry, source-water quality and operating duty should not be silently changed.
Is there a clear project record?
Keep the evidence that supported the selected system with the quotation, submittal and final handover package.
