BASKETBALL EQUIPMENT SELECTOR

Choose the equipment pathway before the exact model.

Competition level, mounting method and venue operation control the backstop, scoring and spectator pathway. This selector does not approve a product; it narrows the project brief so exact current evidence can be matched afterwards.

PROJECT PATHWAY

Club / league basketball equipment pathway

Backstop

Mobile or ceiling system after storage/structure review

Approval pathway

FIBA-approved equipment can be selected where the league/venue brief requires it; otherwise durability and operating fit control the selection

Match control

Shot clocks, game clock and scoreboard matched to league requirements

Spectators

Courtside, retractable or fixed spectator pathway

Weekly operation and changeover matter as much as match-day presentation.

Shared halls should coordinate dividers, volleyball/badminton equipment and storage before backstop selection.

Keep a clear upgrade route if the club expects higher competition requirements later.

01

Approval is exact-model.

A current FIBA approval does not transfer to a visually similar backstop, floor, scoreboard or seating system.

02

Level 1 and Level 2 stay separate.

Where the competition requires Level 1, a Level 2-only equipment pathway is not presented as equivalent.

03

Structure comes before ceiling equipment.

Ceiling-mounted systems need actual roof geometry, support reactions, clearances and local structural validation.

04

Hall operation matters.

Movement routes, storage, dividers, floor loading, power, data and changeover all influence the correct equipment package.

PROJECT BRIEF

Turn the selector result into an exact equipment schedule.

Send the hall geometry, intended competition level, destination, storage constraints and any available drawings. Apollo will match the brief to the controlled LUTHVAR equipment pathway.
