LUTHVAR · TECHNICAL DECISION GUIDE

Manual or powered retractable seating?

Choose the operating format based on the actual seating geometry, changeover frequency, operator responsibilities and site constraints — not just a generic model name.

Supplier confirmation required. Some published SMART model listings conflict on manual versus electric operation. Model-specific drive options, dimensional limits, supplied controls and safety features must be confirmed in writing before quotation or specification.

Before selecting manual

Ask for the maximum recommended bank size, required number of operators, deployment procedure, movement effort, locking system and floor interface. A smaller project does not automatically mean the system is suitable for manual operation.

Before selecting powered

Confirm the drive and control package, electrical requirements, safe operating zones, emergency procedures, commissioning responsibilities, servicing and availability of replacement parts.

Engineering and life safety are project-specific.

Loading, anchorage, accessibility, guardrails, egress, local fire and building requirements, and safe operation are subject to the chosen layout and destination. Nothing on this page represents a certified design or approval for a particular venue.

Request a manufacturer-backed configuration

Submit seating frontage, maximum open depth, stored space, audience target, deployment frequency and venue floor details. Apollo is a supply-only wholesaler; the project team arranges local installation and statutory approvals.
