Apollo NZ GlobalBuild Project Brief

Sports & Courts · Specific answer

How Do You Plan a Multi-Sport Court?

A multi-sport court works best when one primary use anchors the layout and the secondary sports are layered around it deliberately. Trying to give every sport equal visual priority can create a confusing court.

Planning guidance — final supplied configuration remains project-specific.

01

Choose the sport hierarchy

Identify the primary sport, secondary sports and whether any competition-level layout needs to control the dimensions.

02

Plan lines and equipment together

Hoops, nets, posts, sockets and line colours should be coordinated so one sport does not create avoidable obstructions for another.

03

Use the full site

Run-off, fencing, gates, lighting and spectator circulation sit outside the marked lines but materially affect the facility.

Move from knowledge to project

Apply this guidance to the actual site.
