Outdoor Living & Architecture · Retractable-roof comparison
Retractable Fabric Roof vs Retractable Louvre Roof
Both systems can create a substantially open roof condition, but they do it with different materials, mechanics and architectural character.
Planning guidance — final supplied configuration remains project-specific.
01
FASGAR RETRACT uses a flexible membrane
The roof membrane extends for shelter and retracts into a stacked zone when the project wants open sky. It is well suited to hospitality and larger terrace applications where a fabric-roof aesthetic is acceptable.
ORELAN's open-sky pathway combines blade rotation with roof retraction, giving the project both adjustable louvre control and a substantially open roof condition.

Choose by architecture and operating brief
Compare desired appearance, open-sky percentage, drainage, controls, maintenance, side enclosure, exposure and evidence requirements before choosing the system family.
