Sphere provides widely used humanitarian principles and minimum standards, including technical areas such as WASH, shelter and settlement, and health. The online HSP handbook is the appropriate place to check current material and revisions.
UNHCR's Emergency Handbook provides operational guidance for humanitarian emergency responses. Use it where relevant to the programme and population rather than treating it as a generic building specification.
UNICEF publishes WASH-in-emergencies guidance and resources. These are useful references when sanitation and water infrastructure form part of an emergency or community programme.
For projects financed through World Bank Investment Project Financing, the World Bank publishes its procurement framework, regulations, standard documents, guidance and supplier information. The applicable project documents and current official edition control.
UNOPS publishes supplier resources, procurement information and current business opportunities. Suppliers should use the official UNOPS and UN procurement systems rather than relying on third-party tender summaries.
