Water resistance alone does not make a watch a dive computer. Choose the device around the intended activity and only rely on dive functions, depth capability and algorithms that are explicitly documented for the exact model.

Separate water resistance from dive-computer capability
A water-resistance claim describes a tested protection pathway; it does not by itself establish safe scuba use, decompression capability or a usable operating depth. Dive-computer functions should be supported by the exact manufacturer's documentation and applicable product evidence.
Check the actual dive functions
Where relevant, review supported dive modes, decompression algorithm, gas settings, compass, depth and environmental sensors, alarms, log handling and compatible tank-pressure accessories. Do not infer missing functions from a similar-looking model.
Treat firmware, charging and support as part of the product
A technical wearable also depends on software, charging, battery condition, app compatibility and future support. Branded products should retain a clear authenticity and warranty pathway; own-brand products should have current batch documentation before supply.
Use manufacturer guidance for actual diving
Training, dive planning, ascent behaviour, decompression decisions and emergency procedures should follow recognised diving instruction and the exact device manual. Apollo's website is a product-selection resource, not a substitute for dive training or the manufacturer's operating instructions.
