Define who will ride

School beginners, mixed-age community users and destination riders do not need the same layout. The entry pathway should suit the expected skill range and leave room for progression.

Review the footprint and surface

Measure the actual usable area rather than the overall site boundary. Consider drainage, levels, access, circulation, fall zones, nearby buildings and how modules will be delivered and assembled.

Use modularity deliberately

The strongest reason to use a modular system is the ability to relocate, reconfigure or expand. That advantage is lost if the original site plan leaves no room for change or creates difficult access for later modules.

Separate product from local works

The pump-track package can be defined separately from civil preparation, fencing, surfacing, signage, landscaping and local approvals. That makes procurement clearer for schools, councils and clubs.
