A modular pool can arrive largely prepared, but it still has to reach the exact place where it will be installed. Delivery access and lifting strategy should therefore be resolved before decks, fences, landscaping or foundations restrict the site.
Driveway width, gates, bends, gradients and turning space can all affect the delivery vehicle. The route should be considered using the actual pool format and transport plan rather than assuming a normal residential truck can reach the site.
Crane or Hiab capacity changes with reach. The available setup position, final pool location and obstacles between them should be reviewed together so the lift is practical before the site is finished.
Power lines, trees, eaves and other overhead obstructions can limit lifting. Underground services, soft ground or restricted bearing areas can also affect where lifting equipment can safely set up.
A small change to the pool position can materially change crane reach, deck interfaces and service routes. The approved pool drawing and final site-access plan should therefore be treated as one coordinated project set.
