All-Sky Observatory Enclosures

ASTRAVYR / VISUAL REFERENCEProduct illustration unavailable

Only official, product-matched imagery will be displayed after its model and configuration have been verified.

Opening enclosure concepts intended to provide broad access to the sky while protecting sensitive equipment when closed.

PRELIMINARY PRODUCT FAMILY · CONFIGURATIONS SUBJECT TO TECHNICAL REVIEW

01 / SYSTEM OPTIONS

System concepts under review.

The following are preliminary product configurations, not confirmed available models. Final selection requires technical documentation and project review.

01

Two-leaf full-opening all-sky enclosure

Configuration, dimensions, certification and export availability to be confirmed.

02

Three-leaf or multi-leaf all-sky enclosure

Configuration, dimensions, certification and export availability to be confirmed.

03

Chain-drive or hydraulic opening options; indicative project diameters include 5, 6, 8, 9 and 12.4 m

Configuration, dimensions, certification and export availability to be confirmed.

TECHNICAL CENTRE / GEOMETRY & OPERATIONS

Full opening requires a verified motion study.

An all-sky enclosure opens its leaves to expose a broad observing area; the leaf arrangement and mechanism vary by configuration and must not be inferred from a concept image.

REVIEW 01

Leaf travel

Dimensioned closed, intermediate and fully open positions, including sweep zones and collision checks.

REVIEW 02

Sky obstruction

Verify actual horizon and zenith access for the proposed telescope height and location.

REVIEW 03

Actuation and safety

Confirm drives, interlocks, emergency stop, manual recovery and weather closure.

REVIEW 04

Loads and interfaces

Review opening loads, structural anchorage, drainage, wind conditions and local engineering.

Engineering verification required · Product imagery does not establish dimensions, certification, compatibility or product availability.

02 / TECHNICAL COMPARISON

Compare the right requirements.

Technical values are intentionally withheld until model-specific technical documents are checked. The matrix identifies what buyers should compare before specifying a system.

03 / PROJECT DEFINITION

What we need to understand.

01

What sky coverage is needed for the observing programme?

02

What are the instrument envelope and required clearances?

03

Will the site be staffed or remotely operated?

04

What local climate and environmental loads must be considered?

04 / ENGINEERING & PROCUREMENT

Evidence before specification.

We will request and review technical documents before making project-specific performance or compliance claims.
