Use the reference size as the starting point, then plan chairs, circulation, lighting and delivery access around the finished table rather than the slab alone.
Coordinate lighting and services
Centre pendants and other overhead features on the final table position, not just the room. In work or boardroom settings, resolve power, data and floor-box positions before delivery.
Check the delivery route
A 5 cm natural slab can be substantial. Confirm doors, stairs, lifts, turning space and unloading access, plus how the selected base or supports will be assembled in the room.
Expect natural variation
Ebony wood varies in grain, colour and edge character from piece to piece. The exact available slab should be reviewed before order so its natural features are understood as part of the material character and project selection.
