What Size Wood-Fired Pizza Oven Do You Need? Comparing 65 cm and 85 cm Cooking Floors

Oven size changes more than the number of pizzas that can fit at once. It also changes refractory mass, overall dimensions, weight, heat-up behaviour and how the oven integrates into an outdoor kitchen or hospitality space.

What Size Wood-Fired Pizza Oven Do You Need? Comparing 65 cm and 85 cm Cooking Floors
01

A 65 cm floor can suit compact home use

Royal and Royal Mobile sit in the current 65 cm cooking-area pathway. They can suit projects where footprint and weight matter and the oven is mainly serving family cooking or smaller entertaining groups.

02

An 85 cm floor provides more working room

Royal MAX, Premier, Bellissimo and Firefox use the larger 85 cm cooking-area pathway. The extra floor area can make multi-item cooking or higher-volume entertaining easier but comes with a larger and heavier oven body.

03

Weight affects the site as much as cooking capacity

Current models span from approximately 140 kg to 500 kg. Support, lifting and final placement should therefore be considered at the same time as cooking goals.

04

Choose around the complete cooking pattern

Pizza is only one use. Bread, roasting and retained-heat cooking can also benefit from refractory mass, so the best model should reflect the full cooking style rather than the largest pizza count alone.
