Manual and motorised louvre systems can use the same basic outdoor-space logic but create different operating experiences. The right choice depends on how often the roof moves, who uses it and whether smart control adds genuine value.
A manual configuration avoids the need for electrical power to operate the louvres and can suit smaller or less frequently adjusted spaces. Integrated surround lighting can still be specified separately where required.
Motorised systems add electric drive, remote operation and Tuya-compatible control, with the current configuration including a rain sensor. That can be useful where the roof is adjusted regularly or where convenience is a high priority.
Motorisation is easiest to integrate when electrical supply and future access are considered before the surrounding building or landscaping is finished. The control choice should therefore be made early in the project, not after installation.
A family home, hospitality terrace and shared commercial space can have very different operating patterns. The best control system is the one users will understand and use consistently.
