OBSERVATORY & CELESTIAL SYSTEMS

Thoughtful observation
starts with the right system.

A rotating observatory dome, fully opening enclosure and destination stargazing experience have different physical and operational requirements. The starting point is the purpose of the facility.

02 / PROJECT PLANNING

Six questions worth resolving early.

01

Observation objectives

Decide whether the facility is built around telescope-based observation, guest stargazing, interpretation or teaching.

02

Telescope and enclosure

Record the proposed telescope, mount geometry, pier position and clearances before choosing an enclosure footprint.

03

Site conditions

Review local wind, salt, dust, heat, condensation, vibration, lighting and accessibility with the customer's appointed specialists.

04

Controls and closure

Define operating arrangements, weather monitoring, electrical supply, loss-of-power operation and maintenance responsibilities.

05

Hospitality experiences

Keep guest circulation and seating separate from sensitive observation equipment; consider remote viewing and shared digital presentation.

06

Procurement scope

Identify the equipment package, required drawings, shipping route, local works, services and customer approval pathway.

From planning to project supply.

ASTRAVYR brings observatory and celestial project requirements into a structured Apollo supply enquiry. The customer's appointed local professionals remain responsible for site-specific engineering, statutory approvals, foundations, electrical work, installation and commissioning.
